About the author
Jon Spencer, a partner in Abacus Circulation (with Eithne McCredie and Sarah Watt), is Circulation Manager of Opera Canada and
Ski Canada magazines. He was also Circulation Manager of Azure from 2000-2004.

Jon provides circulation marketing services and data analysis for several other publishers on an ongoing or occasional basis, including
New Internationalist, This Magazine, Canadian HR Reporter, Descant, St. Joseph Media, OWL, Chickadee, and Chirp.

Jon has consulted for many other Canadian publishers and industry organizations, sometimes through Magazines Canada's
Travelling Consultants Program. He started his circulation career at Mother Jones magazine, and was Circulation Director of OWL
& Chickadee, Circulation Manager of Canadian Art, and founding Publisher of Peace Magazine.
